School tours

A special presentation on the Lewis and Clark Expedition is available upon request to teachers in the region with a special focus on the Expedition’s journey through the Siouxland area.

Group Tours

Tour groups are also welcome. These groups can tour the facility and receive a presentation on the facility and its history. Public restrooms are available on the Welcome Center grounds.  

Advance reservations are recommended for all tours by calling (712) 279-0198.

Housed aboard the dry-docked motor vessel, the M.V. Sergeant Floyd, the Sergeant Floyd River Museum and Welcome Center provides a vast assortment of travel information.

State Maps, Local Maps and Travel Guides for Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota are available to the public free of charge from the Welcome Center, along with hundreds of brochures about points of interest in the tri-state area.

A variety of souvenirs from the tri-state area are available in the Galley Gift Shop.
